January 25th, 2004
Hi all,
At Labor Day in SB last fall, we kicked around the idea of having a 70's class reunion.  Everyone we talked to thought it was a great idea.  So, we've pulled together a list of those people we think would be good representatives for their respective classes, which is attached.
I'd like to gather any names needed to fill in any gaps in the classes - people who you think would be a good addition to this team, and then gather ideas and get rolling.
We have reserved the Chamber of Commerce in SB for the Saturday of Labor Day 2004 - all day and night.  We are really excited that it is available to us, and I have put down a deposit to hold it.  Our initial thoughts are for each class to have a Friday night get-together, possibly at a local classmates home, then make Saturday the big day to get together with the whole 70's group.  It will be great for the town and for Labor Day's economies.  Sunday's also a day to plan...
I think it's crucial that we get working on this right away.  As soon as we get everyone committed to help with their classes, we'll compose a letter to be sent out.  Each class will work with their own class list, obviously, and the representatives will form the reunion planning team.
I will be contacting Brian Davis (class of '75) to see if he could put together a web page for the reunion - a site that we can keep updated so that anyone can get the latest info, check in, etc.  If you have a better or different idea, please let me know.  I don't really know if SBHS has a website - that would be something to check into.
Please e-mail me back at your earliest convenience.  Looking forward to connecting with you!
Thanks,
GO INDIANS,
Janet Halldorson-Lee
