What is Light?
Class Notes for Friday, 11-3-2006
-
INTRODUCTION:
-
Today, we will talk about the artificial,
engineered, created
gift to the Universe, which we commonly call "Light".
This is Light
in the literal sense, not the allegorical sense. But
first, we should
understand why this is so important, and it is because it is
the first
thing Jesus made on Day 1 of Creation.
-
WHO IS JESUS? (He is the Creator of
the Dwelling
of Light.)
-
Exodus, Chapter 20, Revised Standard
Version: (notice
how God often introduces himself with the phrase "I AM")
-
"I am the LORD your God, who brought you out
of the land
of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
-
"You shall have no other gods before me.
-
John, Chapter 1, King James Version: (All
things
were made by The Word)
-
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God,
and the Word was God.
-
The same was in the beginning with God.
-
All things were made by him; and without him
was not any
thing made that was made.
-
John, Chapter 1, King James Version: (Jesus
IS
the Word)
-
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among
us, (and we
beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the
Father,) full
of grace and truth.
-
John bare witness of him, and cried, saying,
This was he
of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred
before me: for he
was before me.
-
John, Chapter 3, New International Version:
(Jesus
came from Heaven)
-
No one has ever gone into heaven except the
one who came
from heaven—the Son of Man.
-
John, Chapter 3, New International Version:
(John
the Baptist speaks of Jesus)
-
He who comes from above is above all; he who
is of the earth
belongs to the earth, and of the earth he speaks; he who
comes from heaven
is above all.
-
John, Chapter 5, New International Version:
(John
the Disciple speaks of Jesus)
-
For this reason the Jews tried all the
harder to kill him;
not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even
calling God his own
Father, making himself equal with God.
-
John, Chapter 8, New International Version:
(Jesus
is the great "I AM")
-
"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered,
"before Abraham was
born, I am!"
-
John, Chapter 10, New International
Version: (Jesus
explains that He and His Father are one God; and the only
God for that
matter)
-
I and the Father are one."
-
John, Chapter 14, New International
Version: (Jesus
would prefer that you understand that He and the Father
are the same God,
but at least believe in Jesus for the sake of His miracles
themselves.)
-
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth
and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
-
If you really knew me, you would know my
Father as well.
From now on, you do know him and have seen him."
-
Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and
that will be enough
for us."
-
Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip,
even after I
have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has
seen me has
seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the
Father'?
-
Don't you believe that I am in the Father,
and that the Father
is in me? The words I say to you are not just my
own. Rather,
it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.
-
Believe me when I say that I am in the
Father and the Father
is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the
miracles themselves.
-
John, Chapter 16, New International
Version: (Notice
that Jesus says that the Counselor WILL NOT come unless
Jesus Himself goes.
It is indeed one "I AM" God, with three personifications.)
-
But I tell you the truth: It is for your
good that I am going
away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to
you; but if I go,
I will send him to you.
-
When he comes, he will convict the world of
guilt in regard
to sin and righteousness and judgment:
-
in regard to sin, because men do not believe
in me;
-
in regard to righteousness, because I am
going to the Father,
where you can see me no longer;
-
and in regard to judgment, because the
prince of this world
now stands condemned.
-
John, Chapter 16, New International
Version: (Jesus
explains where He is from again. He is fully man,
and Infinite God.)
-
I came from the Father and entered the
world; now I am leaving
the world and going back to the Father."
-
John, Chapter 17, New International
Version: (Jesus
explains His Glory.)
-
And now, Father, glorify me in your presence
with the glory
I had with you before the world began.
-
John, Chapter 18, New International
Version: (The
power of the name "I AM".)
-
When Jesus said, "I am he," they drew back
and fell to the
ground.
-
HOW MANY DIMENSIONS ARE THERE REALLY? (more
from
John 20)
-
John, Chapter 20, New International
Version: (Jesus
enters a closed locked sealed room, but how?)
-
Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the
Twelve, was not with
the disciples when Jesus came.
-
So the other disciples told him, "We have
seen the Lord!"
But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his
hands and put
my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his
side, I will not
believe it."
-
A week later his disciples were in the house
again, and Thomas
was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus
came and stood
among them and said, "Peace be with you!"
-
Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger
here; see my hands.
Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop
doubting and believe."
-
Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"
(Thomas the
Disciple testifies that Jesus is the Great "I AM".)
-
Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen
me, you have
believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have
believed."
-
A two dimensional world called Flatland. (Tape
on
the floor and cut-out these
images
for the kids to add to the floor)
-
A three dimensional world is where we live.
-
Jesus operates in four or more full-size
dimensions. (compare
what we can do as the "creators" of our two
dimensional Flatland,
versus what Jesus can do as The Creator of our three
dimensional universe)
-
Nothing can be hidden. Neither our
actions, nor even
our thoughts.
-
If the plane of the paper is bend toward us,
we can be equally
close to all points on the curved plane at the same time.
-
Just as Light from our three dimensional
world hits the plane
of a two dimensional world, Light also could come from a
spot in four dimensional
space to our three dimensional universe.
-
JESUS MADE THE DWELLING OF LIGHT AND THEN HE
MADE THE
STARS
-
Job, Chapter 38, Revised Standard Version:
(It
is a Trans-dimensional phenomenon)
-
"Where is the way to the dwelling of light,
and where is
the place of darkness,
-
that you may take it to its territory and
that you may discern
the paths to its home?
-
What is the way to the place where the light
is distributed,
... (note that this is a single place)
-
Look at what verses 19 and 20 could be
saying; light comes
from a non-obvious source! Perhaps light
originates from outside
our three dimensional reality. Maybe photons are
like an empty energy
capsule that, when charged with heat energy, reach out
of our three dimensional
reality into the dwelling of light's reality to
capture and carry back
pure light here to dissipate it. To complete
their "photonic journey",
the photon energy capsule, now depleted of light,
deposit themselves in
the place of darkness.
-
Pass-out the Egg Shells of Light; a
physical model of
a Photon (Easter Eggs with the word PHOTON printed
upon them).
-
Genesis, Chapter 1, King James Version:
-
In the beginning God created the heaven and
the earth.
-
And the earth was without form, and void;
and darkness was
upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God
moved upon the face
of the waters.
-
And God said, Let there be light: and there
was light.
-
And God saw the light, that it was good: and
God divided
the light from the darkness.
-
And God called the light Day, and the
darkness he called
Night. And the evening and the morning were the
first day.
-
What an amazing thing! Light
itself needed to be
created! We know that light has a dual nature of
being both a particle
and a wave. Called Photons by Einstein in 1905,
their particle nature
appears to be in our three dimensional reality, while
their wavelength
and constant speed characteristics (regardless of the
speed of the observer)
seem to be driven from a fourth or more dimension that
is beyond our three
dimensions. Jesus writes the laws of the
universe, and makes something
we tend to think would just naturally occur
anyway. It didn't just
happen to be here; Light needed to be created!
-
Genesis, Chapter 1, King James Version: (Jesus
made
the sun, moon, and stars AFTER making Light, so the
Dwelling of Light
was made to shine directly upon the Earth for the first
three days of Creation.)
-
And God said, Let there be lights in the
firmament of the
heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be
for signs, and
for seasons, and for days, and years:
-
And let them be for lights in the firmament
of the heaven
to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
-
And God made two great lights; the greater
light to rule
the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made
the stars also.
-
And God set them in the firmament of the
heaven to give light
upon the earth,
-
And to rule over the day and over the night,
and to divide
the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
-
And the evening and the morning were the
fourth day.
-
EVIDENCE THAT PHOTONS TRAVEL TO THE DWELLING
OF LIGHT
AND BACK AGAIN.
-
Quantum Tunneling is the original
faster than light
experiment.
-
An
article
on Light traveling at
310 times faster
than normal in an experiment in Princeton, New Jersey, where
physicists
sent a pulse of laser light through cesium vapor. This
could indicate
that the dwelling of light is a point source that is
simultaneously close
to all points in our three dimensional reality. In
other words, this
experiment shows that the dwelling of light could perhaps be
"fooled" and
load photons at the destination, rather than the
origination. This
only works for single wavelength light.
-
THE TEN PLAGUES OF
EGYPT
(What can be done by man versus fallen angels)
-
Exodus, Chapter 7, Revised Standard
Version: (rod
changed to snake and imitated, though not actually a
plague, it was scarier
than snakes on a plane to be sure)
-
And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,
-
"When Pharaoh says to you, `Prove
yourselves by working a
miracle,' then you shall say to Aaron, `Take your rod
and cast it down
before Pharaoh, that it may become a serpent.'"
-
So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did
as the LORD commanded;
Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and his servants,
and it became
a serpent.
-
Then Pharaoh summoned the wise men and the
sorcerers; and
they also, the magicians of Egypt, did the same by their
secret arts.
-
For every man cast down his rod, and they
became serpents.
But Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.
-
Exodus, Chapter 7, Revised Standard
Version: (water
changed to blood and imitated)
-
Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded;
in the sight of
Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, he lifted up the
rod and struck
the water that was in the Nile, and all the water that was
in the Nile
turned to blood.
-
And the fish in the Nile died; and the Nile
became foul,
so that the Egyptians could not drink water from the Nile;
and there was
blood throughout all the land of Egypt.
-
But the magicians of Egypt did the same by
their secret arts;
so Pharaoh's heart remained hardened, and he would not
listen to them;
as the LORD had said.
-
Exodus, Chapter 8, Revised Standard
Version: (plague
of frogs and imitated)
-
And the LORD said to Moses, "Say to Aaron,
`Stretch out your
hand with your rod over the rivers, over the canals, and
over the pools,
and cause frogs to come upon the land of Egypt!'"
-
So Aaron stretched out his hand over the
waters of Egypt;
and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt.
-
But the magicians did the same by their
secret arts, and
brought frogs upon the land of Egypt.
-
Exodus, Chapter 8, Revised Standard
Version: (gnats
made from dust; the Finger of God)
-
Then the LORD said to Moses, "Say to Aaron,
`Stretch out
your rod and strike the dust of the earth, that it may
become gnats throughout
all the land of Egypt.'"
-
And they did so; Aaron stretched out his
hand with his rod,
and struck the dust of the earth, and there came gnats on
man and beast;
all the dust of the earth became gnats throughout all the
land of Egypt.
-
The magicians tried by their secret arts to
bring forth gnats,
but they could not. So there were gnats on man and
beast.
-
And the magicians said to Pharaoh, "This is
the finger of
God." But Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he would
not listen to
them; as the LORD had said.
-
Exodus, Chapter 8, Revised Standard
Version: (swarms
of flies, but not for the Israelites)
-
Else, if you will not let my people go,
behold, I will send
swarms of flies on you and your servants and your people,
and into your
houses; and the houses of the Egyptians shall be filled
with swarms of
flies, and also the ground on which they stand.
-
But on that day I will set apart the land of
Goshen, where
my people dwell, so that no swarms of flies shall be
there; that you may
know that I am the LORD in the midst of the earth.
-
Thus I will put a division between my people
and your people.
By tomorrow shall this sign be."'"
-
And the LORD did so; there came great swarms
of flies into
the house of Pharaoh and into his servants' houses, and in
all the land
of Egypt the land was ruined by reason of the flies.
-
Exodus, Chapter 9, Revised Standard
Version: (cattle
died, but not for the Israelites)
-
But the LORD will make a distinction between
the cattle of
Israel and the cattle of Egypt, so that nothing shall die
of all that belongs
to the people of Israel."'"
-
And the LORD set a time, saying, "Tomorrow
the LORD will
do this thing in the land."
-
And on the morrow the LORD did this thing;
all the cattle
of the Egyptians died, but of the cattle of the people of
Israel not one
died.
-
Exodus, Chapter 9, Revised Standard
Version: (boils
on men and animals, and the Egyptian Magicians can do
nothing)
-
And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, "Take
handfuls of ashes
from the kiln, and let Moses throw them toward heaven in
the sight of Pharaoh.
-
And it shall become fine dust over all the
land of Egypt,
and become boils breaking out in sores on man and beast
throughout all
the land of Egypt."
-
So they took ashes from the kiln, and stood
before Pharaoh,
and Moses threw them toward heaven, and it became boils
breaking out in
sores on man and beast.
-
And the magicians could not stand before
Moses because of
the boils, for the boils were upon the magicians and upon
all the Egyptians.
-
Exodus, Chapter 9, Revised Standard
Version: (hail
stones, but again not for the Israelites)
-
Then Moses stretched forth his rod toward
heaven; and the
LORD sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down to the
earth. And the
LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt;
-
there was hail, and fire flashing
continually in the midst
of the hail, very heavy hail, such as had never been in
all the land of
Egypt since it became a nation.
-
The hail struck down everything that was in
the field throughout
all the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and the hail
struck down every
plant of the field, and shattered every tree of the field.
-
Only in the land of Goshen, where the people
of Israel were,
there was no hail.
-
Exodus, Chapter 10, Revised Standard
Version: (Locusts)
-
So Moses stretched forth his rod over the
land of Egypt,
and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that
day and all that
night; and when it was morning the east wind had brought
the locusts.
-
And the locusts came up over all the land of
Egypt, and settled
on the whole country of Egypt, such a dense swarm of
locusts as had never
been before, nor ever shall be again.
-
For they covered the face of the whole land,
so that the
land was darkened, and they ate all the plants in the land
and all the
fruit of the trees which the hail had left; not a green
thing remained,
neither tree nor plant of the field, through all the land
of Egypt.
-
Exodus, Chapter 10, Revised Standard
Version: (The
dwelling of light is shut-off in Egypt. The energy
that the photons would have use in making the trans-dimensional
leap is never used, because they are precluded from making
the jump. The unused energy manifests itself as
photonic impact pressure.)
-
Then the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out
your hand toward
heaven that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt,
a darkness to
be felt."
-
So Moses stretched out his hand toward
heaven, and there
was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days;
-
they did not see one another, nor did any
rise from his place
for three days; but all the people of Israel had light
where they dwelt.
-
Exodus, Chapter 11, Revised Standard
Version: (The
deaths of the oldest sons)
-
And Moses said, "Thus says the LORD: About
midnight I will
go forth in the midst of Egypt;
-
and all the first-born in the land of Egypt
shall die, from
the first-born of Pharaoh who sits upon his throne, even
to the first-born
of the maidservant who is behind the mill; and all the
first-born of the
cattle.
-
And there shall be a great cry throughout
all the land of
Egypt, such as there has never been, nor ever shall be
again.
-
But against any of the people of Israel,
either man or beast,
not a dog shall growl; that you may know that the LORD
makes a distinction
between the Egyptians and Israel.
-
REVELATION; 1/3 LESS LIGHT
-
Revelation, Chapter 8, Revised Standard
Version: (Light
can be shut off as it was in Egypt, or just scaled-back)
-
The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a
third of the sun
was struck, and a third of the moon, and a third of the
stars, so that
a third of their light was darkened; a third of the day
was kept from shining,
and
likewise a third of the night.
-
HELL - A PLACE TO AVOID
-
Job, Chapter 38, Revised Standard Version:
-
From the wicked their light is withheld, and
their uplifted
arm is broken.
-
WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANT?
-
How much would you believe a newspaper that
had a bad front
page leading story? You naturally would be tempted to
discredit the
rest of the newspaper. Light is to be understood by
the Christian
as a major creation, and we must give credit to Jesus, to
whom it is fully
due. We also must understand the inerrant nature of
the Bible, and
to never underestimate the power and truth of God's Word.
-
Matthew 24:35 (NIV) Heaven and earth will pass
away, but
my words will never pass away.
